About our CompanyHilmerson Safety Learning Systems (HSLS) was formed in 2008 by it's owner and founder, Debra Hilmerson, President/CEO of Hilmerson Safety Services, Inc. As a safety trainer for over 18 years her ambition was to create an entertaining and effective teaching tool for safety trainers. Ms. Hilmerson firmly believes that the quality of the learning experience determines its effectiveness. Ms. Hilmerson utilizes her 20 years of construction safety and health experience, along with her 4 full time safety staff and subject matter experts, to develop game content for training applications. The use of entertaining training tools is an ideal way to communicate critical safety principles. Learning in a fun engaging manner creates knowledge with "staying power".
Ms. Hilmerson has owned and operated Hilmerson Safety Services, Inc. since 2000. Her company provides safety and health consulting services nationally and internationally to the construction and general industry, heavy highway, residential, refining, mining, energy and the oil and gas industries. Ms. Hilmerson is a Certified Safety Executive, an active member of the World Safety Organization (WSO) and a Professional Member of the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE). Corporate clients include 3M Company, Resource Recovery Technologies, Decision Point Associates, Zurich North American, Willis, Marsh, PCL, Monsanto, BP, Chevron, Shell, the Washington Group International and many others.
